Kanban & Calendar View
Help & Basics

In addition to the standard list and card views, the application offers two special visualization modes: the Kanban board and the Calendar. These help you to look at your data from a different perspective.
Kanban View
The Kanban view is ideal for tracking the progress of tasks or the status of items in a workflow. Records are displayed as cards and grouped into columns.
How it works
- Grouping Field: You explicitly define which field should be used for grouping the Kanban columns in the Table Definition under
Options > View Options. - Example: If you have a "Status" field with the values "Open", "In Progress", and "Done", and you select this as the "Kanban Grouping Field", the system will automatically create these three columns.
- Drag & Drop: You can easily drag and drop cards from one column to another. This automatically updates the value of the grouping field in the record.
When is the Kanban button displayed?
The button for the Kanban view only appears if you have selected a Kanban grouping field in the table definition and the number of unique values in this field is not too large (maximum 20) to maintain clarity.
Calendar View
The Calendar view is perfect for displaying date-based data.
How it works
- Date Field: The system automatically uses the first field of type "Date" or "Date/Time" in your table to place the records on the calendar.
- Title: The title for the calendar entry is the first field that has the "Title" formatting in the table definition. If no such field exists, "Record #ID" is displayed.
- Navigation: You can easily switch between months and years. Clicking on an entry takes you directly to the detail view of the record.
